Q: Will CBN Connect improve cell phone service in the area?
A: We believe it will. Cell phone companies cannot easily operate in our region because of tower construction restrictions in the Adirondack Park. Expanded fiber optic infrastructure throughout the region, in combination with new wireless technologies, may allow cell phone companies new options that may attract them to our area to provide cell services.
Q:Will CBN Connect provide my home or business with broadband service?
A: CBN Connect will not provide retail services directly to end users. The idea behind CBN Connect is to expand the reach of broadband "highways" so that commercial service providers like Time Warner, Primelink, Westelcom, and others can reach new customers. This may result in end users having a choice of which company provides Internet, phone, and video services to them.
